After years of being blond, forced arched, and unrealistically proportioned... Barbie has been given a reboot. The new "Fashionistas" Line promotes body confidence for all shapes , sizes, hair-types, and races. Barbie is redefining what it means to be beautiful and encouraging a whole new generation of girls to see beauty in a new light. The original Barbie design is included in the new line, but she is accompanied by a whole new squad of fabulous counterparts. I think this is just amazing. Many young girls and boys alike struggle with body confidence issues, stemming from being bombarded with false images of what the human body really looks like. By changing the narrative from the beginning, we may be able to see a shift in the next generation of teenagers. I'm excited to see how this change, impacts others. Let's keep the conversation going!
